Web design for builders

Websites for builders that let the work do the talking.

Extensions and conversions are big decisions. People often spend weeks looking at builders’ websites before picking three to quote. They want finished projects, a clear process and confidence you will turn up and finish.

How customers find you

What a builder’s website has to do.

For builders, the gallery is the website. A homeowner planning a kitchen extension wants to see ones you have actually built, ideally with a few lines about the brief, the timescale and the result. That is far more persuasive than a page of stock photos and a list of services.

The second job of a builder’s site is to filter. A good enquiry form asks the project type, rough budget, timescale and postcode, so you spend your evenings pricing jobs you want, not chasing tyre-kickers.

Pages we’d build for a builder

  • Single and double storey extensions
  • Loft conversions
  • Garage conversions
  • Renovations and refurbishments
  • Kitchens and bathrooms
  • Groundworks and driveways
  • Brickwork and structural work
  • Project gallery with case write-ups

Every page gets its own title, description and structured data, so Google knows exactly what it is about.

What your site needs

Four things every builder’s site should get right.

Project stories, not just photos

Before, during and after shots with a few lines on each job: what, where and how long. This is what wins the quote.

How a project runs

A simple step-by-step from first visit to sign-off, covering planning, building regs and timescales, answers the worries people have.

Proof you are reliable

Insurance, guarantee schemes and trade memberships you actually hold, plus your Google reviews, near every enquiry button.

An enquiry form that qualifies

Project type, rough budget, timescale and postcode, so every enquiry tells you whether it is worth a visit.

Where to start

Our pick for builders.

A multi-page site gives each type of project its own page and room for a proper gallery. If you have a large back catalogue of projects or want features like a project archive by town, we will scope a bigger custom build.

Questions

Builders’ questions, answered.

Should my website show prices for extensions?

Exact prices, rarely. But if you are comfortable, a rough guide to what typical projects cost puts off people with unrealistic budgets. We will only publish figures you give us.

How do I add new projects once the site is live?

Send us the photos and a few lines on WhatsApp and we will add them. If you add projects often, optional upkeep covers it every month.

Won’t lots of project photos slow the site down?

Not if they are handled properly. We resize and compress every photo to modern formats and only load them as visitors scroll, so a big gallery still loads quickly on a phone.
